How to Add Another Course to an Existing Learner on Eduqat

Quick answer: Go to Users then Learners then Verified Learners, tick the learner, click Enroll Learners, choose the Product Type, Course name and Package price, then click Send Invite. The learner is enrolled straight away.

Quick answer: Go to Users > Learners > Verified Learners, tick the checkbox next to the learner, then click Enroll Learners. Choose the Product Type, Course name, and Package price, then click Send Invite. The learner is enrolled straight away and the course appears in their My Courses.

When to use this

Use this when someone is already a learner in your school and you want to give them access to one more course. For example, a learner who is already enrolled in Course A now also needs Course B.

This is not the same as inviting a brand new learner. You are not creating an account and you are not sending an invitation that someone has to accept. Enroll Learners adds the course to an account that already exists, immediately.

Before you begin

Make sure of the following before you start:

  • The learner already appears on your Verified Learners page. That page lists the learners who can already log in to your school.

  • The course you want to add is published. A course that is still in Draft does not appear in the Course name list.

Step 1: Log in to your Eduqat Dashboard

Log in at sso.eduqat.com using your email and password, then open the school you want to work in. This takes you to the Eduqat Dashboard, where you manage your courses, learners, and settings.

Step 2: Open the Verified Learners page

On the left sidebar, click Users. In the panel that opens, click Learners, which expands into two pages:

  • Verified Learners: the learners who can already log in to your school.

  • Unverified Learners: the people who signed up but have not entered their OTP code yet.

Click Verified Learners. The breadcrumb at the top of the page reads Users > Learners > Verified Learners, which confirms you are in the right place.

Step 3: Tick the learner you want to enroll

Find the learner in the table and tick the checkbox at the start of their row. Use the Search by name or email box at the top of the page to find them quickly.

You can tick more than one learner. Every learner you tick will be enrolled in the same course in one action, and the checkbox in the table header selects everyone on the page at once.

Step 4: Click Enroll Learners

Click Enroll Learners in the row of actions above the table.

Tick the learner first. If you click Enroll Learners with nobody selected, Eduqat shows the message Please select learner first! and no window opens.

Step 5: Choose the course

Fill the three fields in order, from top to bottom. Each one unlocks the next, so Course name stays greyed out until you pick a Product Type, and Package price stays greyed out until you pick a Course name.

1. Product Type: choose Scheduled Session, Self-Paced, Cohort, or Digital Download.

2. Course name: choose the course you want to add. This field is searchable, so you can type part of the course title instead of scrolling.

3. Package price: choose the package the learner should be enrolled on. Some courses offer only one.

You can add one course per action. To give the same learner a second course, complete this process once, then repeat it.

Step 6: Decide whether to email the learner

Below the three fields is a checkbox, Send email notification to learners. It controls whether Eduqat emails the learner to tell them the course has been added. Leave it ticked to notify them, or untick it to add the course quietly.

Step 7: Click Send Invite

Click Send Invite to finish. A confirmation window appears saying Invitation Sent! We have successfully sent the invitation(s), followed by the learner's email address. Click Ok, Got It to close it.

Despite the wording, nothing is left pending. The learner is enrolled at that moment, the course appears in their My Courses, and there is no invitation for them to accept.

The course the learner already had is not affected. Their existing enrollment and all of their learning progress stay exactly as they were, and the Product Enrolled count for that learner goes up by one.

Alternative: enroll through Groups

If you regularly give the same set of learners the same courses, the Groups feature is faster than enrolling course by course. Groups let you create a group of learners and automatically enroll all of them in the products you assign to that group.

Two situations where Groups is the better tool:

  • A new course for an existing team: open the group, click the three dot button, and assign the product. Every member of the group is enrolled at once.

  • One more person who needs what the group already has: open the group, click the three dot button, and choose Add Learners. They are automatically enrolled in the products already assigned to that group, so there is nothing else to set up.

FAQs

Why does it say "Invitation Sent!" if the learner is enrolled immediately?

That is just the wording on the confirmation window. The learner is enrolled at the moment you click Send Invite: the course appears in their My Courses, their Product Enrolled count goes up, and nothing is added to the Pending Invitations page. There is no invitation for the learner to accept.

Does the learner need to accept anything?

No. The course is added to their account immediately. If you left Send email notification to learners ticked, they receive an email telling them the course has been added, but there is no link they need to click first.

Will adding a course affect the courses the learner already has?

No. Their existing courses and all of their progress stay exactly as they were. After you enroll them, the learner simply sees the new course alongside the old one in My Courses.

Can I enroll several learners in the same course at once?

Yes. Tick the checkbox for each learner you want, or use the checkbox in the table header to select everyone on the page, then click Enroll Learners. They are all enrolled in the same course in a single action.

Can I add two or more courses in one go?

No. You choose one course per action. To add a second course to the same learner, run through Enroll Learners again.

What is the difference between Enroll Learners and New Learners?

Use Enroll Learners for people who are already in your Verified Learners list, which is the case described in this article. Use New Learners to bring in someone who is not a learner in your school yet.

Should I use Enroll Learners or Groups?

Use Enroll Learners when you are adding a course to one learner or a handful of learners. Use Groups when the same set of learners regularly needs the same courses, because assigning a product to a group enrolls every member at once.
