What are the Lesson Materials on Eduqat?

Lesson Materials are part of the Eduqat Product Dashboard to manage content that you create and share with your learners in your courses for your created Products.

They can be in various formats, such as video, audio, text, presentation, PDF, file, or embed. Each format has its own characteristics and benefits, depending on the learning needs and preferences of your learners.

In this article, we will explore the Lesson Materials on Product Dashboard. Not to be confused the Lesson Materials from Course Editor.

How to Upload Lesson Materials for My Course?

To create lesson materials on Eduqat, you need to follow these steps:

  • Go to your Product Dashboard, choose between the file types you want to upload, and click on Upload button.

  • Fill in the title and description of your lesson material.

  • Depending on the type of lesson material, you may need to upload a file, add a link, or use an editor to create your content.

  • Optionally, you can add attachments to enhance your content.

  • Customize the settings of your lesson material, such as duration, completion requirement, preview option, download option, autoplay option, etc.

  • Save and publish your lesson material.

What are the types of lesson materials?

There are seven types of lesson materials that you can create on Eduqat. Here is a brief overview of each type and how to create them:

Video

Video lessons are effective for learners who prefer visual and auditory learning. They provide a dynamic way to present information, demonstrate processes, and engage learners with multimedia content.

To create a video lesson, you need to:

  • Choose “Video” as the type of lesson material.

  • Fill in the title and description of your video lesson.

  • Upload a video file in mp4, mov, or avi format (file size up to 2GB with minimum resolution of 720p.

  • Optionally, you can add attachments to complement your video content

  • Customise the settings of your video lesson, such as download option, autoplay option, quiz option, etc.

Audio

Audio lessons are suitable for auditory learners and can be an alternative way of presenting content.

To create an audio lesson, you need to:

  • Choose Audio as the type of lesson material.

  • Fill in the title and description of your audio lesson.

  • Choose a cover image (file size up to 2MB in jpg, jpeg, or png format).

  • Upload an audio file (file size up to 200MB in mp2, mp3, mpga, or wav format).

  • Optionally, you can add attachments to complement your audio content.

  • Customize the settings of your audio lesson, such as download option, fast playback option, autoplay option, speed control option, etc.

PDF

PDF lessons allow you to share documents, guides, or articles in your courses.

To create a PDF lesson, you need to:

  • Choose “PDF” as the type of lesson material.

  • Fill in the title and description of your PDF lesson.

  • Upload a PDF file (file size up to 5MB).

  • Optionally, you can add attachments to complement your PDF content.

  • Customize the settings of your PDF lesson, such as duration, completion requirement, preview option, etc.

Presentation

Presentation lessons offer a structured and visually appealing way to deliver information to your learners. You can create slides with text, images, and multimedia elements.

To create a presentation lesson, you need to:

  • Choose “Presentation” as the type of lesson material.

  • Fill in the title and description of your presentation lesson.

  • Choose to upload a presentation or add one from Google Drive.

  • Optionally, you can add attachments to enhance your presentation content.

  • Customize the settings of your presentation lesson, such as autoplay option, download option, etc.

Rich Text

Rich text lessons allow you to create text-based content that is interactive and visually appealing. You can format text, add images, links, and lists to make your content more attractive and easy to scan.

To create a rich text lesson, you need to:

  • Choose “Rich Text” as the type of lesson material.

  • Fill in the title and description of your rich text lesson.

  • Choose to create a rich text from a blank template, or you can also use Smart AI to help to create the rich text for you.

  • You will enter the rich text editor, where you can add various elements such as tables, quotes, text, images, etc.

  • After finishing editing your rich text content, click “Save” and go back to the lesson material settings.

  • Customize the settings of your rich text lesson, such as duration, completion requirement, preview option, etc.

How do I delete a lesson material?

To edit or delete a lesson material, you need to:

  • Go to your course dashboard and click on Lesson Materials.

  • Find the lesson material that you want to delete and click on the three dots icon next to it.

  • Choose Delete from the menu.
