What is Eduqat Smart AI?
Eduqat Smart AI generates assignments automatically from your course content. It reads your rich text course materials and creates relevant questions, instructions, and grading criteria for you. It can also grade learner submissions automatically based on the materials you select, so you can give faster, more consistent feedback.
Before you begin
Make sure the content you want to base the assignment on exists as rich text material. Only text-based (rich text) materials can be used as grading references for AI grading.
Step 1: Log in at sso.eduqat.com
Enter your email and password, then choose the school you want to edit.
Step 2: Open the Product Dashboard
You'll land on the Eduqat Dashboard. From your school dashboard, click Product in the left navigation bar, then click Edit Courses.
Step 3: Add an assignment to your course
In Course Builder, choose the session you want to add the assignment to, then click Add Lesson Material.
Step 4: Generate the assignment with Smart AI
Choose Create Assignment with Smart AI, then click Next.
Pick your Grading References from a chapter or session of your course. Only rich text materials can be used as references.
(Optional) Add instructions or context in Additional Keywords.
Click Next and wait for the assignment to be generated.
Tip: Want to use a rich text only as a reference, without showing it to learners as a lesson? Set that rich text material to Draft. It stays hidden from learners but can still be selected in the Grading References dropdown.
Step 5: Add the assignment details
Lesson title: make it match the chapter or session the assignment is based on.
Description: Smart AI generates this; use it as a guide when you configure grading.
Attachment (optional): upload a document if you need to.
Step 6: Configure the assignment settings
Tick the settings you want to enable:
Require assignment to be graded: learners can't access the next lesson until the assignment is assessed.
Set assignment deadline: learners must submit before a certain date to complete the lesson.
Allow learners to retake assignments: learners can submit more than once.
Grading by Smart AI: the AI grades submissions based on the course material you select.
Select by chapter: choose the chapter or session you referenced earlier.
Criteria: Smart AI drafts these; you can replace them with your own. Add as many as you want (no more than 5 recommended), and keep the cumulative percentage at or under 100%.
Final Grading by Educator: turn this on if you want to re-check results manually on the Assignment page.
Material settings:
Step 7: Save your assignment
Click Save & Exit. Your assignment is now generated. When learners submit, Smart AI grades their work based on the settings you chose. You can also mark it as Draft, or click Discard Changes to cancel.
