How to Use AI Interaction Review on Eduqat

AI Interaction Review grades recorded conversations such as a sales or customer service call. Add it as an Exam lesson material, pick a rubric to turn on AI grading, then review the results under Product then AI Interaction Review.

Quick answer: Add the lesson from Curriculum > Add Lesson Material > Exam > AI Interaction Review, then pick a rubric so Smart AI grades the recordings. Learners upload or record their conversation, and you review the results under Product > AI Interaction Review.

What AI Interaction Review does

AI Interaction Review grades a conversation between two people. Typical cases are a sales person talking to a buyer, or a customer service agent talking to a customer.

The learner submits the conversation as audio, either by uploading a file or by recording directly. Smart AI then transcribes it, scores it against a weighted rubric, and writes a summary report with strengths, areas for improvement, and recommendations.

You keep the final say. Every AI score can be edited before you publish it.

Before you begin

  • You need a course you can edit, with at least one session in its Curriculum.

  • Decide whether the AI should grade. Selecting a rubric is what switches grading from manual to AI assisted, so have a rubric in mind before you start.

Part 1: Create the lesson

Step 1: Add the lesson material

Open the course you want, go to the Curriculum tab, find the session you want the lesson in, and click + Add Lesson Material.

The picker groups materials into Media, Exam, and AI Persona. Choose AI Interaction Review, which sits in the Exam group next to Assignment, Quiz, Self-Assessment, and Survey.

Step 2: Name the lesson

Fill in the Lesson Title, then use the Description editor to explain the scenario you want learners to record.

Be specific here. The description is where learners find out who they are supposed to be talking to and what situation they are roleplaying, which directly affects how well their recording scores.

Step 3: Choose a rubric

This is the step that decides how the lesson is graded.

Under Select Rubric, click the field to open the rubric picker. It states the rule directly: By selecting a rubric, grading will be assisted by AI.

In the picker you can:

  • Search Rubric by name.

  • Filter by tag, for example english, speaking, interview, customer service, communication, or call review. Use All tags to see every tag available.

  • Pick one of the rubrics available to your school, for example English Speaking Interview or Customer Service Call Review.

  • Click Create from Scratch to build your own set of criteria instead.

Choose a rubric, then confirm with Select Rubric.

If you leave this empty, the lesson stays on [Manual Grading], described in the form as "Educator will manually grade and provide feedback". The AI will not score anything.

Step 4: Set the remaining options and save

Under AI Interaction Review Setting, tick Set Passing Grade if learners need to reach a minimum score.

Under Material Setting you can tick Set this as a required lesson and enter a Duration in hours, minutes, and seconds.

Click Save when you are finished. Draft keeps the lesson unpublished while you keep working on it, and Discard Changes throws away what you have entered.

Part 2: Review what learners submitted

Step 5: Open the AI Interaction Review list

In your Eduqat Dashboard, go to Product, then AI Interaction Review in the panel that opens.

The page lists every course that has reviews, with four columns: Course Name, AI Interaction Review (how many lesson materials are being reviewed), Date Created, and Educator. You can search by course name, sort by course name, and change how many rows show per page.

If you see "No AI interaction reviews yet", check the other product type tabs before assuming there is no data. The tabs are Scheduled Session, Self-Paced, Cohort, and Digital Download, and each one holds its own list.

Step 6: Open a course

Click Details at the end of the course row.

The AI Interaction Review Details page shows the course, a Search lesson name box, and the lessons being reviewed. Each row shows Lesson Name, Submission (how many submissions it has), Creator, and Date Created.

Step 7: Open a lesson

Click View Detail on the lesson row.

This is the main review page for that lesson. At the top you can filter by date range and by group, and you get five figures at a glance:

Figure

What it tells you

Average score

The mean score across everyone assessed

Completion rate

How much of the expected work has been graded

Total Learners Assessed

How many learners have a graded submission

Avg Attempts per Learner

How many times learners submit on average

Total Files Graded

How many audio files the AI has scored

Step 8: Read the progress chart

Below the figures is Learner Progress Evolution, which tracks performance across multiple graded submissions.

Two dropdowns control it. The first switches the view, for example Per Attempt. The second picks whose data you see, for example All Learners.

The chart plots one line per rubric criterion, so you can see which specific skill improved and which did not. The criteria come from the rubric you chose in Step 3, which is why the legend changes from lesson to lesson.

Under the chart, the Overall Summary box repeats the headline average for the group you selected.

Step 9: Find the learner you want

The table at the bottom lists everyone assessed, with Name, Group Name, Uploaded Count, Avg Score, First Submission, and Last Submission.

Click the three dot button at the end of a learner's row. It offers three actions:

  • View Submission: open the audio files and the grading panel.

  • View Analytics: open the AI summary report.

  • Upload Submission: add an audio file on that learner's behalf.

Step 10: Listen to the submission

View Submission opens the learner's files, grouped by date and newest first, with a date range filter and a sort control.

Each file shows its name, the time it was submitted, and its size, with an audio player and a download button. Expand Audio Transcription to read the conversation as text instead of listening to it, which is usually faster when you are checking many submissions.

On the right you get the learner card, a Select Attempt dropdown that shows which attempt you are looking at and whether it is Graded, a View Analytic button, and the Final Score with its status.

Use the arrows next to Learner's Name to move to the next learner without going back to the table.

Step 11: Read the AI report

View Analytic opens the Summary Report for that learner.

The report has a headline paragraph followed by three sections: Strengths, Areas for Improvement, and Recommendations. At the end it is signed Generated by Smart AI with the date and time it was produced.

Three controls sit at the top of the report:

  • Export: save the report out of Eduqat.

  • Edit Report: change the wording of the report itself.

  • New Version: generate another version rather than overwriting the current one.

Step 12: Check or change the score

Back on the submission page, click Edit Grading. The header buttons change to Save as Draft and Publish, which is how you know you are in edit mode.

The grading panel has two parts:

  • Grade with Smart AI: run the AI grading for the selected attempt.

  • Grading By Rubric: the criteria themselves. Each one shows its Weight as a percentage and takes a score out of 4. Criteria that the AI has already filled in are marked Graded by Smart AI.

Click Show Score Definitions on any criterion to see what each score level means before you change a number.

When you are done, use Publish to publish the result, or Save as Draft to keep your changes without publishing. A published score carries a Published badge next to the Final Score.

Troubleshooting

Problem

Likely cause

Fix

The AI is not scoring anything, everything waits for me

No rubric was selected, so the lesson is on Manual Grading

Edit the lesson, open Select Rubric, and pick or create a rubric. The picker itself says grading is AI assisted only once a rubric is selected

The list says "No AI interaction reviews yet" even though I know there are submissions

You are on the wrong product type tab

Check all four tabs. A Self-Paced course only appears under Self-Paced, never under Scheduled Session

The submission page opens completely blank

The page sometimes fails to render after in-app navigation

Reload the page in your browser. The content loads normally on a fresh load

I cannot find the course in the list

The course has no AI Interaction Review lesson, or nobody has submitted audio yet

Reviews appear only once a lesson exists and a learner has submitted. Check the course Curriculum first

The score shows but I want to change it

The grading panel is read only until you enter edit mode

Click Edit Grading first, then edit the rubric scores, then Publish

FAQs

What kind of conversations can AI Interaction Review grade?

Any recorded conversation between two people. The common uses are sales conversations between a sales person and a buyer, and customer service conversations between an agent and a customer.

How do learners submit their conversation?

They either upload an audio file, or record the conversation directly. Both arrive in the same place, and the AI grades them the same way.

Where do the grading criteria come from?

From the rubric you attach to the lesson. You can pick an existing rubric in the Select Rubric picker, filter the list by tag, or build your own with Create from Scratch. Different lessons can use different rubrics, which is why the criteria and weights change from one lesson to another.

What happens if I do not choose a rubric?

The lesson stays on [Manual Grading], which the form describes as "Educator will manually grade and provide feedback". Learners can still submit, but nothing is scored automatically.

Can I upload a recording for a learner?

Yes. Open the three dot menu on that learner's row and choose Upload Submission.

Can I change a score the AI gave?

Yes. Click Edit Grading on the submission page, change the score for any criterion in Grading By Rubric, then click Publish. Each criterion is scored out of 4 and carries its own weight, so the final score reflects both.

Do I have to listen to every recording?

No. Expand Audio Transcription under any file to read the conversation as text. This is usually the fastest way to check what was said.

What is the difference between Publish and Save as Draft?

Publish publishes the grading result, and the Final Score then shows a Published badge. Save as Draft keeps your changes without publishing them.
